I have a cold. :( But I called out of work, and I had to go to the drugstore to get cold meds. I also got some ramen noodles, which I haven't had in years, and some chocolates to help me feel better (they helped!). My head is an absolute snot factory so I'll probably call out tomorrow too. Ugh, I hate having a cold.

I live in Australia, so Halloween is regarded with some suspicion as an American cultural import (also, it's Spring here, so all the autumnal symbols look rather out of place), but a few families on the block dropped letters around asking anyone willing to receive trick-or-treaters to put up an orange balloon or orange streamers by their gate, so the kids wouldn't bother anyone who didn't want to participate.
I was happy to, so I threw on my pointy black hat and encouraged everyone who came by to take an extra lolly or two ;)

A customer asked me to take a picture of her and her dog she dressed up as Dog the Bunny Hunter, with a plaid coat and a stuffed bunny. The dog wasn't really cooperating with the photos but it was cute.

somehow we ran out of candy in an hour and a half. I swear the bags are getting smaller while not changing price, motherfucking candy companies.

Merry Samhain! I don't do anything but light a candle and take a moment, but it's very chilly, rainy, and breezy here (typical Missouri Halloween), so i'm happy to be home and in my comfy clothes. :D

Work made me work extra hours and dress up and oddly that made it more fun! Also yay more moneys! Made a basass unicorn in the costume I was handed upon my start too.

Happy Halloween to you! Was all set to go out tonight, then my anxiety decided to hit and going to a crowded noisy party suddenly seemed like the worst idea. We carved an awesome pumpkin though.

We had a Halloween party at work and got to leave early, so that was fun. I'm ready to give out candy, but nobody's knocked on the door (by this time last year, I'd already given out a third of my candy) and I'm wondering if I'm going to get any trick or treaters at all. It seems like there are less and less every year.

I carved all 14 of the pumpkins I bought into kind of clumsy jack o’lanterns, but only have 12 electric tealights. Oh well. Dressed up but didn’t have time for makeup before the gremlins started arriving.

I kind of love the current flood of isekai? Like, this endless stream of 'completely mediocre dude from modern day Japan ends up in fantasy world & wielding unimaginable power (and probably gets a harem too, lbr)' is just... weirdly enjoyable for me? I say' weirdly' because so many of the tropes involved usually annoy the piss out of me, but I'll usually give them a pass in isekai? At least for a little while.
