Re: What's your definition of a creep shot?

It is a dickhead thing to do, even if it's legal, which I'm not a lawyer and I couldn't say.

Part of being in society is extending reasonable courtesy and consideration to people that we see going around day to day. "Don't randomly and specifically take pictures of people without asking them" is an entirely reasonable courtesy to extend, and an entirely reasonable presumption of privacy to have, in most circumstances.. IDK even why you're so opposed to this.

Because they like to take pictures of [insert whatever sex they're attracted to] to fantasize about, and it not being a creepy photo means they can just go, "lol I was just taking a pic because I like your clothes."

NAYRT—in most situations I agree with you, but sometimes at cons I genuinely do take pics of cosplayers because I like their outfits without first asking permission because I’m cripplingly shy, and I’ve never taken a picture of a cosplayer because I found them sexy. Sometimes I manage to compliment their work, but not always. I don’t mean any harm and the most I’ve done to share those photos is by pulling out my phone and to show friends while saying “isn’t this cool?” I’d never post them anywhere, though.

Okay, but like. As someone who cosplays? I'm not okay with that. If you ask, sure, I'll let you take a photo. But I've had stalkers before, so it's a hard no for me that people take my pic without permission.

AYRT—I’m sorry, I always try to ask, and I’m sorry you had to go through that. I’ll try harder to ask next time. I also cosplay, and I don’t mind if people take photos without asking because they like the character, only if they intend to mock me or use me as fap fodder.
