IDK. I guess to me it's too much like "No offense, but..."

"I'm not making excuses, but..."

I'd feel the same way if an actress from the Cosby Show stepped forward and said hey, this isn't excusing what Bill did to all those women and I don't think he should return to public and professional life, but sometimes I willingly took tranquilizers and let him have sex with my semi-conscious body and that was cool for me. I'd be like... you're mentioning this now? FFS, why??

Wow, that's an outrageous analogy, LOL!

Oh well, Silverman has spent her entire career being judgey, so I guess it's just karma for it to come back on her.

Not really. Silverman's point in speaking out was to tell everyone that she'd had a similar experience as CK's victims, except that she consented. The Cosby example might shock you because his actions were far, far worse, but if a woman had stepped forward to say that she'd had similar experiences to Cosby's victims, only consensual, that'd cause quite a stir, too.
