I love this movie in all its cheesy glory, and yes, that ship was very well done. The tension between them was electric, and the payoff was surprisingly sweet in a very in-character way. The 90s had some really great teen movies.

It bothers me too. Back when I was really into Twilight, Emmett was one of my favorites because he seemed fun and he had curly hair (love guys with curly hair), so I was really disappointed with the actor they cast.
