As someone who literally judges books by their cover- (because if you give no effort designing it, what effort did you take to write it;;)- I can't see people taking explicit interest in this by the cover alone...
All I see, (knowing absolutely nothing about it;;) is maybe some happenstance love affair, where some middle aged lady meets some attractive man, who turns out to be by relationship/circumstance, more trouble than he's worth...
Essentially your average romance-drama, which tries too hard to be more introspective than it actually is, while still succeeding an average amount despite that fact...
(i'd go on, but i'm beginning to create a story in my head, rather than relaying what the cover simply tells me)

Overall, I wouldn't have any interest in this book by the cover alone... But given what I expect of it, still ranks higher than most of its kind;; So on basis, no.

One quibble—writers almost never have any say in cover designs for their books unless they’re self-publishing in which case a lot of the time they’re doing (mostly) bad photoshop jobs themselves.

Or if (in my experience) you're working with a small independent publisher. I had complete control over my cover and I was glad!
