Augh!! I've been watching the original Charmed with my folks. (who loved the original series, and are excited about watching the new one.)

But I agree. The same way new shows seem to push existing characters into ridiculous directions, you can't expect the revamp to explicitly follow the original. Especially when they try to include characters abandoned by their actors...
