(Anonymous) 2018-11-03 11:24 am (UTC)(link)Of course I'm shallow as hell, but when it comes to cooking- it's how invested they are that counts... I've watched probably more reality cooking shows than I'd like, but my first impression is never the thing that I hope sends them through...
I've switched sides, (which is basically unheard of for me;;), in an instant, once a competitor acts like some bullshit know it all, or demeans the other players in any way... I see it as a cooking competition, but once you act like an ass about it at all, it's all about personality.
Hell, just earlier today, I was thing of making a secret about how I judged cooks on their personality, or integrity, rather than ability.
I can relate, because I know I'll make the most ridiculous excuses, in order to defend my favourites- but hell no, if I favourite some asshole on looks alone...
