Mine is the constant "Is this just cramping or do I actually have to shit this time? LET'S GO SIT AND FIND OUT!!!"

The point where I have to double up overnight with both a large tampon AND pad because I can't get through even 6 hours without the tampon leaking. :(

I hate that too, but I think the worst is when I wake up and my sheets look like they've been wrapped around a dismembered body part. That or the period shits.

I have a super irregular period, so sometimes spotting will appear and... that's it? And then two-three weeks later THE FLOODGATES OPEN.
And sometimes, I'll bleed for three days, it'll stop, and then a few days later it will start again? I'm just like, motherfucker, would you quit?

Lucky bitch who never gets cramps, here. Main complain is that my mooncup puts pressure on my urethra so 1) constantly feels like I need to pee, 2) makes it a bit harder to pee when I actually have to.

Well it used to be migraines that meant any light at all was enough to trigger a puking spree, but those have taperdvoff as I’ve gotten older, so I only get them once or twice a year instead of once or twice a month. Now it’s the mood swings where I alternate betwen wanting to rip heads off and crying my eyes out.

Never knowing when they are about to start. I'll have to start wearing a pad just in case every time my periods are approaching, or else it's surprise blood everywhere.

I always get really sore in my thighs and lower back during my period. Also, all the bloating. I feel like I gain 10 lbs. every fucking time. :/

where do I begin?
heavy bleeding that goes right through even the big pads
intense pain from my belly button to my knees to the point where I sometimes needed to use a cane to walk
the fucking thing sometimes lasting TWENTY-FIVE DAYS!!!

all I can say is thank fuck I had a hysterectomy and I should have had it a lot sooner

My painkillers have no effect if I take them too late. This never used to be a problem, as my period always started off with the worst cramps. The last year or so, it's been a more gradual come-on, so that the first day is sometimes just the warm-up, and I have to pay constant attention to my gonads to notice when I'm about to start cramping for real.

Sneezing and the rather ew feeling of leaking down there.

My hips and pelvic region in general ache the entirety of the first 3 days and I'm so stiff.

The near-constant feeling of 'am I cramping or do I need to poop?' for the first 3 days.

Cramps in general just, ugh.

I hate the "cramps from hell PLUS a permanently depressive bad mood that I'm sure is actually related to Pre-Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder PLUS reduced to wearing adult diapers and a tampon level heavy day."

When my symptoms are at their worst I get intense brain fog and limb weakness that make me all but bedridden. Luckily those episodes have been less frequent recently. On normal periods - cramps and period shits :/

Those dumb morons who keep giving those "love your period, it's such a ~beautiful~ and special thing uwu" speeches.

The feeling of something between my legs, whether it’s the blood or something that absorbs it. I camp out on the toilet for hours because it’s the only place I don’t feel...clogged.

This is extremely gross. Seriously, stop reading here. You've been warned..... It's the part where it's my heaviest day and I inevitably also suddenly have to take the biggest, messiest shit of the whole month at the same time, and I legit have to spend 20 minutes wiping and still feel gross af until I get a proper shower. And it always happens on my lunch break. D:

Either when I have the craps or heavy bleeding. Urghh God why I hate my body.

Also when I have wild emotion swings that make me worry Imma murder someone or something.

When it doesn't come for like, a year because it means my gynecologist ends up prescriving contraceptives.

Having to choose between PMDD and bad cramps on the natural side and having ten migraines a month when I'm on BC.

When I stand up or bend and have that gross leaking feeling. Once I had just gotten to work, had on a fresh pad, bent down to get something for a customer and I could just feel... gushing. The worst part was it was a busy Friday afternoon and I couldn't get to the bathroom for like ten minutes, the pad caught everything but I felt sticky and nasty the whole time.

Getting the fucking period in the first place is the worst, LOLOLOL.
Then: feeling like it's 10 degrees hotter between your legs for the first few days of it, wearing a gigantic maxi pad and having to decide what slacks you can't wear because of the GIGANTIC MAXI PAD, peeing often, and pooping often. I used to get sore nipples and feeling like I was dragging around an anvil that was chained to the lower half of my body when I was a teen but that has tapered off quite a bit. Now I just eat everything within sight when I'm ovulating around day 14 (and also eat like a pig around day 21) and dislike everyone/thing from day 21 until I get my period.

This thread is honestly kind of horrifying to me. My period has always been about as regular as clockwork and I've never had any cramps that just a Tylenol or two couldn't take care of. It's more of a mild annoyance to me than anything else.

Is this really what other people go through during their periods? And if so, why haven't they gone to see a doctor about it? Because I'm pretty sure that your period isn't supposed to completely incapacitate you for a few days every month...
