my grandma's dead but those gross orange marshmallow peanuts that don't taste anything like orange or peanut. I don't think anybody likes those.

Circus Peanuts! I ate those all the time growing up, and now I can't even look at them without my stomach turning.

all the comments on this thread about those nasty circus peanuts have given voice to my internal ramblings, esp. why do they even exist? they must have come about in the 20s or something...

Those gross hard candies that taste like fruit. I loved my grandma, so I never would've given her those. I just threw them away.

Peanut. Butter. Kisses. I HATED getting those as a kid.

Oh damn, I love those things! I'd trade you for them, even!

Circus peanuts and those rock hard peanut butter ones in the black and orange wrappers - I think they're the same ones kaijinscendre mentioned. Hard candy (especially peppermints) in general is also low on the list because they seem like everyday candy to me and not Halloween candy. I do like those strawberry ones in the strawberry patterned wrapper, though.

Circus peanuts, smarties, laffy taffy, and tootsie rolls.

the only tootsie rolls I ever liked were the vanilla ones and they stopped making those

Candy corn. It's thoroughly mediocre, which makes it worse than outright terrible candy. I'll trick myself into eating some and get stuck into a snack feed backloop, which ends with 10 ounces of regret that would have never happened if it sucked just a little bit more.

Oh I loathe candy corn. I hadn't tried it in like a decade, so this year a popped one piece in my mouth. The instant my teeth sunk into it I knew I'd made a mistake and spit it into a napkin. I mean, I could've chewed and swallowed it if I HAD to, but wow it was gross.

I do like how it looks in a bowl though. Very festive.

I'll concede they didn't age well. While I still like them, my current enjoyment doesn't surpass my childhood enjoyment.

Yay, another person who doesn't like Reese's Pieces! I love Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, but the Pieces don't have enough chocolate for my liking.
