The Lannisters kind of have a theme around being killed by the ones they love/the ones who should have loved them, though. Usually family. Tyrion is responsible for Joanna and Tywin, Cersei is responsible for Tommen. Myrcella and Joffery weren't killed by family, but their deaths were both knock-on effects of their parents'/uncle's/grandfather's actions, and they both died in either Cersei or Jaime's arms. Tyrion isn't immune either, since he was almost killed by Cersei, Joffery, Tywin and Shae, all of whom were either family or loved ones. The Lannisters' whole thing is how the family has basically destroyed themselves, either through their actions towards those around them or just through straight-up kinslaying, with Tyrion, Joffery and Cersei all getting in on the action there. The valonqar being either Tyrion or Jaime, while obvious, would actually suit their theme very well.

I don't actually think it will be them, mind you, though I give Jaime higher odds than Tyrion. I'm just saying it would actually be fairly appropriate for the whole theme of the family.

Yep, this is why I think it'll be Jaime. Martin has strongly telegraphed it in the books, anyway and as you said, it fits his theme.
