Yes I had those thoughts too! It's like she just found out she was a witch, except she hasn't. She was raised by witches and she already has powers. I can't imagine that living with Hilda and Zelda wasn't like living with the Addams family, so why does she keep expecting everyone to be more human in their actions? I would have thought it would be the other way around. She might have some trouble adjusting to human school as a child and then teenager, because she was raised by witches?

I don't know. I feel like they just covered up the lack of thought that went into this by making her extra conflicted about the romance and devil bits like heeeeeeeey look she has thoughts and stuff!

Exactly! Like, she's advanced enough in her magic she can hold her own against witches who have been training since childhood, and she knows spells she can do at the drop of a hat. I totally buy she'd be shocked that Satan is more traditionally evil than her aunts likely suggested (tbh I think it would have been way more interesting for him actually to be the 'free will' adaptation than the traditional "grr I'm super mega evil". Also, how the hell are we supposed to like Hilda, Zelda, and Ambrose if they've been happily doing his bidding??), and I totally buy that she's surprised children died at the school. But never hearing about the Feasts of Feast? Shocked that the girls who put a blood curse on her would go too far when tormenting mortals they already treat like animals? Why is that suck a mystery?

I feel like the writing/story of the first episode was completely different from the rest of the episodes (and the last episode was a third completely different story).
