How much are you hating it turning dark at like 6pm. :(

I'm not, but I have more energy when the sun goes down.

It's hard to tell in California at the moment, what with all the smoke

I like the dark, so it doesn't really bother me. now, the constant overcast grey we've had here in Texas for the past month is getting exhausting. Somehow, grey dark is worse than night dark.

I don’t really care except on days I have to work until 8 pm. I take public transit and by the time I get home around 9:30 it’s been dark for 5 hours. Then again, by the end of summer, until daylight savings kicked in, on early days I left for work in the dark.

I hate it BUT I hate it being dark in the morning worse.

Not at all! I love-love-love standard time. It's dark at night and light in the morning, which helps my nocturnal self in dealing with a diurnal world--- I don't have to go to bed when the sun's still up (and even get lots of lovely hours of nighttime before going to bed!) and it's warm(er) and bright in the morning when I have to drag myself out of bed while I'd still rather be in it.

I'm the same way. I'm not a morning person, but not having to get up and go to work in the dark makes things so much easier and I am glad to trade driving home in the dark for that (and let's be real, with short winter days, it would be getting dark early even if we stayed on daylight savings time all year). I always hated it as a kid when I'd be waiting for the school bus in thhe morning and it would be getting progressively lighter in the spring mornings and then BAM! We're on DST and I'm plunged back into darkness.

Eh, my issue is the sun being directly in my eyes when I drive to work in the morning and directly in my eyes when I drive home in the late afternoon.

I'm in the US but I live somewhere relatively close to the equator compared to just about everywhere else in the US and we have no daylight savings time. So the angst of the people on the mainland means nothing to me (until I move back one day.)

*sigh* Hate it. I really miss those long summer days when it's still light out at 9pm.

The US isn't the only place with need for daylight savings time y'know...? So yeah...

Personally, it doesn't bother me. I love winter, and am basically nocturnal, so I really do prefer it getting dark earlier rather than later;;

I hate it. The sun's setting as I drive home from work. :(
