Re: What are you disappointed about?

I'm 28 and still haven't figured out what I want to "do" with my life. I mentioned to my dad that I always wanted to be a nurse and now he keeps saying that I should go for it and seems really excited about the idea, so I want to do it for him, but I have so many depression/anxiety issues I don't know if I'd be able to cope.

I just feel like I'm wasting every day trying to decide which direction to go. I have friends my age and slightly younger who are achieving so much and doing their parents proud and I feel like such a letdown.

If it makes you feel better, I'm a decade older and still don't know what I want to be when I grow up. Hell, I didn't get what qualifies as a "real job" until I was your age. I do get that feeling though, like everyone younger than you just has their shit together, so "why can't I?"
