You shouldn't have to feel like you can't say this openly, OP. When Aaliyah died I was devastated but some of my friends didn't care. Didn't ruin our friendships.

Nothing wrong with caring more about one death and not caring so much about another. As long as you aren't an ass about it and don't try to ruin it for those who are mourning (I'm looking at you, Bill Maher), there is no reason you can't be honest about what you do and don't care about.

You are allowed to feel more for one persons death than anothers. But by no means does that make anyone elses life less important.
You might have Goldman's words on your body, but somebody else might have Lee's...
