I've seen the first four episodes, and the relationship between them really works for me, and feels like an integral part of the show - perhaps even the core of the show, emotionally, though I'll have to wait and see on that.

I think what makes it work for me is that, yeah, it's sexy, and sort of darkly romantic. But there are also all these other layers to it that make it interesting and unnerving and complex. I feel like their flashfire attachment to each other is...at least partially a result of their respective pathologies, as much as anything, and to me it makes sense as such.
