Maya deserves her own story - and not as a set piece or a prop device but as an active participant all her own.

EXACTLY - to me it seems forced, like the writers are trying to validate her as a member of the show by putting her with one of the long-standing characters. But I find it kind of irritating, as she could be *made* interesting all by herself. Why does she need a love interest? Plus, first she's exchanging saliva with Sylar just moments after he offed her brother, now Mohinder.... It gives me the creepy vibe that now her very male brother is dead, she needs another man in her life to "take care of her."

Agh. tl;dr, I'm sorry for the verbal diarrhea, it just starts coming and doesn't stop.... o_o

I think they are making a HUGE mistake with her character but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
