Objectively they're not wrong, though. The old style was painfully generic, and for a very specific reason- they have sameface and same body type so they only had to use one model to animate and one mold to make toys of every character. Even if you don't like the new style and think it's too simple, lazy or flat (and it's fine if that's your opinion) it's still miles better in quality than the original.
