I like the character designs of the new show and the premise, giving everyone more personality, but the animation style is so stiff and bland. I wish it was more like AtLA or Voltron; the overall feeling isn’t too far off but those shows also have teen heroes with unique bodies, skin types, expressive faces, and the movement and powers were beautiful. It’s just so close to awesome but then falls short.

Agreed. I really liked the art and animation for Voltron, but She-Ra is just... blech. I tried watching it and couldn't last longer than about five minutes because I disliked the art so much. "Stiff" is a good word for it - it's very flat. Voltron had a similar art style yet it was somehow far more dynamic animation-wise.
