I didn't keep up with the plot of FRIENDS, I mostly watched it every now and then whenever it was on the TV when I was a kid.

However I agree OP. If they spend the entire run of a show will-they-won't-they and going through all sorts of drama, it's hard to believe it magically gets a happily ever after with no future drama.
