What doesn't she like about the art style? I've heard complaints, but it's generic but inoffensive to me. Nothing about it seems especially worthy of criticism.

The animation on, the other hand, is painfully amateur and stiff.

The color palette, the lack of shading, and the lack of variation in line width. It makes the art look painfully flat - one of said friends edited a few screencaps to show what they meant and it was amazing what a difference just adding a little basic cel shading and thickening some of the lines made. The art in the picture the OP used for the secret actually isn't bad at all because it has some shading and variation in line width. If the art in the show itself had looked like the art in that image, it would have been a million times better.
