I don't understand it either? It's like every time someone who's looks are slightly different from the Hollywood mold gets fans who consider them attractive, it causes a HUGE backlash where everyone else can't shut up about how ugly or weird-looking they are and that their fans are crazy. And here I am thinking they just look like normal people.

Yeah. If anything I am glad to see him and guys like Cumberbatch going around, even if I don't get all of them, just to show that folk look different and it is ok.

I just don't get how people can't understand that attractiveness is subjective. Just because you don't think they are hot doesn't mean they are ugly or that others aren't wrong for finding the attractive. So many people can't get out of their heads and seem to need everyone else to agree with them.

Agreed. I don't have an opinion on Driver's attractiveness one way or another, myself (I've just seen the occasional picture at most and that's it, and I haven't seen anything he's been in), but if he does it for other people, more power to 'em. Go forth and drool and have fun crushing :D.

Yes, but that's only the men that are allowed to look slightly different. When the women in Hollywood (and in reality) look slightly different...watch out. I mean, no one is ranting about or making a fandom secret about how they're hot for Rossy de Palma, Glenn Close, Sarah Jessica Parker or Sandra Bernhard.

Nitpick, but lots of people found Sarah Jessica Parker attractive, so maybe that's why no one is making secrets about her? I mean, seriously. She was a rom-com star in the '90s & early 2000s; they didn't cast unattractive women for those roles. Carrie Bradshaw was an attractive woman. She was one of the hot younger women the husbands left their wives for in The First Wives' Club.

The only time I've seen people talk shit about SJP is when commenting on her very Jewish nose, which is obviously just anti-semitic garbage & not actually about whether or not she's attractive.
