Good Omens (???)

(Anonymous) 2018-12-02 10:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I watched the trailer as it was bundled with some others and I have a question. I haven't read the book (yes, I know a lot of people like it, but it's not for me) and I don't think I'll watch this, but what in the terrible-hair is going on with their styling? Are they supposed to look like that?

Depends on which regrettable hair you're talking about, but I think it's meant to reflect the passage of time since the two main characters have been around for centuries.

Depends on which bad hair you're talking about. I think the red hair on Crowley, particularly the long red hair, was a bit of a shock. In the books he has dark hair, and most fanart went with that as well. Honestly, though, it kinda fits him anyway? He's the kind of flash bastard who wears sunglasses and snakeskin shoes that possible aren't shoes. The really bad hair kinda fits his image, really.

If you're talking about Aziraphale, we've never gotten much of a physical description of him beyond 'soft hands', but he's canonically usually around 50 years or so behind fashion. So there's that.

I meant more like: Is the long red supposed to look like a wig? Is that white supposed to look natural or is it supposed to look like that (unnatural and not a good undertone for Michael Sheen's complexion)?

I don't think it's supposed to be a wig. It may be intended to look a bit unnatural because the characters are an angel and a demon and even after thousands of years among humanity they still don't get it quite right.

Well, okay. Thanks for the information.

I don't have any inside information, that's just my best guess!
