(Anonymous) 2018-12-03 08:01 am (UTC)(link)This is exactly what turned me off the show as well. I watched S1, and at first I was like, "Huh, okay, this is new and well made and cool I guess." But by early S2 I was just too put off by the show's attitudes towards violence, sex, and especially sexualized violence, and just hoe much of it there was, constantly.
It's not even that I have a problem with sexual violence. Like, I'm two seasons into Outlander, and while I don't love every single thing the show does, I can accept and usually even respect the way the show handles violence and sexual violence.
There's just something about the way GoT, specifically, handles sex and violence that really just pisses me off.
