I agree, anon.

Yay, a Hux secret!

(And I like the idea that Hux is a complete freak under his carefully crafted facade of order and discipline.)

I really wish people would stop using the term Nazi like this.

I feel like the term fits better with the Empire than the First Order, anyway. At least the Empire was xenophobic and pro-Human in a way that fits the Nazi racism more. The First Order was just generally fascist in a way that fits a lot of different real life examples, not just the Nazis.

I recently watched an interesting video about how we actually don't really know what the First Order even WANTS. Except for a vague idea of ruling and something about order. There is next to nothing about an actual ideology, almost not even enough to really call them fascists, really.

Mostly I think they want power (and centralized power and command structure). And revenge for the destruction of the Empire (in the case of those in charge who were probably mostly all Imperials, the rank and file are mostly just brainwashed and/or like being told what to do and the ease of a fascist structure).

The Lindsay Ellis video?

(Anonymous) 2018-12-04 07:31 am (UTC)(link)
Yep!

There seems to be more to First Order ideology in the SW novels (which I know isn't helpful if you've only seen the movies). They may not be literal Nazis (they don't seem big on genocide of any specific groups, for example, but will destroy anyone who gets in their way, and will destroy to make a point or set an example) but they're certainly fascistic. There's a lot of "the people of this galaxy need a firm hand to guide them because they're incapable of knowing any better" and "our purpose is to bring order (by which they mean their way of doing things) where there is chaos". We do know that Hux himself wants absolute control and to be Emperor, tho.

Some asshole once told me that if you crossed Hux and Kylo their offspring would be Benedict Cumberbatch and now I can't unsee it :( I agree, though, Anon, he is a cutie.

(Anonymous) 2018-12-04 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
LOL! Now I'll never unsee it...

(Anonymous) 2018-12-04 01:14 am (UTC)(link)
No, you get Cody Fern.

(Anonymous) 2018-12-04 12:24 am (UTC)(link)
I have no thoughts on your secret, except that I thought those were toy stormtroopers in the pic with Hux. I think that somehow the wall of white text threw me off. Eventually I realized perspective and distance and all that, but I kind of like my mistaken picture of him posing with toy stormtroopers instead.

He totally would do that.

(Anonymous) 2018-12-04 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
but it's in the very fiction that he's an evil space nazi so....

I mean he's not bad looking but that was an odd part of the secret.

I think the point was they wouldn't have sex with someone like Hux in real life, but they were totally comfortable with him as a fantasy.

(Anonymous) 2018-12-04 03:07 am (UTC)(link)
I just can't get past the weird-ass sideburns, but you do you, OP.

(Anonymous) 2018-12-04 07:08 pm (UTC)(link)
Watch Episode 4. Tremble in fear at the 70's 'burns.

(Anonymous) 2018-12-04 04:51 am (UTC)(link)
I'm amazed there's so much Kylo/Hux content. I thought he was such a non-character and not attractive enough to exist just for shipping.

(Anonymous) 2018-12-04 06:22 am (UTC)(link)
But you're forgetting about white cock.

(Anonymous) 2018-12-04 07:02 am (UTC)(link)
Come on, Stormpilot is a much bigger ship (and has 2 way more attractive MOC to boot)!
