Most of the people I follow either have nsfw sideblogs or they post their explicit fanworks on their main. So they can't really risk staying and most already have alternate accounts set up elsewhere since everyone's known this was coming.

So why are they still on tumblr if they saw this coming.

And risk? What are they risking beyond losing their blogs, which, if as you've told us, they've arleady backed up and moved? This makes no sense.

Probably because those other platforms don't have a lot of other fans on them yet so people don't want to spend all their time there shouting into the void? Same reason why Strikethrough was such a clusterfuck. Everyone wants to jump ship bt no one wants to go first.

They're risking losing their blogs, yeah, and their followers/following lists, and any old PMs and convos and so on. I didn't say they'd backed their stuff up? Tumblr's backup feature doesn't work very well and most people have trouble finding or using the alternatives.
