What are your plans for the tumblr purge?

Gonna save a bunch of fanart from artists I admire. Even after reading the directions, I'm too dumb to figure out the image ripping tools so I'm doing it manually lol. Some of these artists have thousands of images, so please wish me luck.

Stay on DW anyway, repost everything here, and find somewhere here to post my fanart. (Trouble is, I don't where yet.)

Most artists seem to be migrating to twitter but I'd avoid making it your only platform. Beyond deviantart, pixiv, or instagram, mastodon.art and newgrounds seem to be getting the most traction.

You can post your art here until you find a place you like better. I'm baffle by people going to Twitter, but I guess because i see it as a political/opinion place more than a place for fandom, but that's just me.

Imgur might work for the art, for now.

I'll probably stick around and see what happens and who goes and who stays, but may try pillowfort if things become a desolate wasteland. I have a Dreamwidth account I never used, maybe it'll make a comeback. We won't really know until it happens I suppose.

Hoping against better knowledge that fandom comes over to dw/pillowfort.

I'm getting sick of people making fun of Tumblr for using inclusive language. Female-presenting is not funny; it's a way to include trans and non-binary people under the 'female' umbrella. We're not five so stop giggling over the word nipples while you're at it, ffs

I dunno, this whole thing has made me realize how uninvested I am in fandom in general? I haven't read fic in forever, and I really just use tumblr to drool over celebs, which I can do on Pinterest. I have a hard time relating to younger fans. I think I might have finally outgrown fandom.

So anyway, I guess I'll just carry on checking tumblr every once in a while as usual and move on to the next big platform if/when I get into fandom again.

I'm going to make a pillowfort and spend more time on reddit, probably. I might also dust off my old twitter or make a new one, and do the same for deviantart and DW.

Go MEH if it dies and carry on. Tumblr is more of a side amusement to me than an important factor. I feel like there is a lot of ridiculous arguments and immature bull on tumblr that I do not see here so while there are some people I would miss I've....been online so long that I've seen more than one strikethrough or whatever and I just move on and settle and meet new folk. True friends will keep in touch

I'm not deleting anything - i have a lot of pretty pictures of Portugal and the sea and people on my Tumblr, and fun .gifs and things. Nothing NSFW because when i initially made it, my ex-SO was going to follow it (did follow it for a while), and I didn't really want to put my 'likes and kinks' out there for them to whinge about.

There's not a lot of NSFW stuff on my Tumblr feed, so i dunno if i'll lose a lot of people or not.

I just really hate how, once again, women who aren't feeding babies are being called out as 'not appropriate'. Really fucking bites.

I didn't really do anything on Tumblr except look at pretty pictures and follow fic authors, so I guess I'll just go to Pixiv or Instagram or something.

I don't actually post enough that I'm worried about being deleted, but I have dusted off the old Twitter & DW accounts and I'm following heaps of people I might otherwise lose track of.

I don't even know. I feel so old and tired. I don't want to have to learn how to deal with a whole new site.

I'm not really fandom, and I'm not really porn Tumblr, but I do have some history with both. This is a pain for me, but a real nightmare for some of my friends.

I have had a Wordpress account for years that I have never used. I have an Imgur account, and can move some images there. I can leave the sfw work up on Tumblr, for what little that is worth.

I'm going to delete all my NSFW posts (there are very few) and stay there for now. I'll probably make a pillowfort. Mostly I'm going to be on Facebook. I don't really do fandom stuff in my personal posts but I'm in a good writers' group there.

NGL this is depressing. I mean tumblr can go ahead and dig its own grave but I'm losing yet another place where I felt somewhat comfortable. Oh well.

I haven't used my Tumblr in ~2 years but constantly browse through tags/people's blogs for fandom stuff so it's honestly going to be pretty annoying trying to find a new way to do that when I don't use Twitter/Discoud/etc. and refuse to pay for an account on Pillowfort (especially when I know I won't even use it myself).

It'd be great if everyone could just move all their meta/discussion fandom shit to Dreamwidth, but that's definitely not happening, so. If my favourite blogs on Tumblr disappear, I guess I'll sit out of fandom for a while (excluding AO3) while I wait for the next thing to come around.

Maybe save fashion pics I like and reblog everything saved on my likes. Move on as I leave my tumblr for prosperity.

I've reblogged some NSFW-ish art that I think will be deleted. And I'm sure my sex inspriation blog will be deleted. But most of my blog should be fine, I think. If I'm deleted, I'll try to go on PilowFort, since that is where some of my fandom is going.

well I guess I won't be using it as a platform for my self-published lesfic, but that's okay because I haven't published any yet
