Also I hate it when people tell me I'm "strong" and can get through something, because I don't think I'm strong at all, but I realize that's not very rational of me because what else are they supposed to say?

I totally get you. This has been a year of shit for me, and I know people mean well when they tell me I'll be so strong for having dealt with all the drama, but part of me is stomping my foot going, "I don't want to be stronger! I don't want to deal with this!" :P

Yup. And it doesn't actually even say that. It says that there will always be a way out of temptation. I'm not one for taking things too literally. But these people generally are the type to take the Bible very literally and yet they always misquote this.

YES. I know it's often used by people who are trying to give themselves pep talks, but it can come off as very shaming - like, suck it up because God can't be wrong about the shit sandwich that's just been served to you.
