I'm with you, OP. Thanos is so boring. I understand that the franchise has been building up to this but... *yawn*

I don't like Josh Brolin, either.

(Anonymous) 2018-12-10 10:59 pm (UTC)(link)
well, he's yet another hollywood abuser, so I don't blame you

(Anonymous) 2018-12-10 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't care for him even if he didn't have that history. Your trolling is not subtle, btw.

(Anonymous) 2018-12-10 11:16 pm (UTC)(link)
how is that trolling? I seriously dislike him because of his history

(Anonymous) 2018-12-10 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
0/10

(Anonymous) 2018-12-10 11:31 pm (UTC)(link)
because no one actually dislikes abusers, sure. you're the one trolling here, friend.

(Anonymous) 2018-12-10 11:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Your disingenuous game needs work, friend.

(Anonymous) 2018-12-10 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
see, now I'm actually mad because I'm being dead serious and I'm getting trolled for it.

(Anonymous) 2018-12-11 04:55 am (UTC)(link)
What the fuck is wrong with you?

(Anonymous) 2018-12-10 11:53 pm (UTC)(link)
I am confused by what you think was trolling about that comment, as an outside observer with no skin in the game

(Anonymous) 2018-12-10 11:55 pm (UTC)(link)
because apparently no one actually dislikes people with abusive histories.

(Anonymous) 2018-12-10 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Hm! That's not what I got from their comment at all, I thought they were just pointing out that he did have such a history.

(Anonymous) 2018-12-11 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
You've tried that twice and nobody actually buys it, nonny.

gonna guess that it's because every time some celebrity is dragged in a secret or the comments for any reason, someone has to come in and helpfully add that they're a bad person because of X. it borders on concern-trolling when it comes off like we didn't know that he's an abuser here let me help by adding this damning little detail that will...what? make us hate him more?

even if you're sincere in imparting that knowledge, anon, people are allowed to dislike him for non-abuse reasons and also at the same time get annoyed that you felt the need to add another log to the fire.

ntayrt - but... so we should never mention an abusive person's history of abuse because people might have other reasons for disliking them?

That was my take on it, too. It feels like an attempt to seize attention by acting as though the reason why someone dislikes [celebrity] is because of their problematic past - not because that's the reason cited, but because it's your reason for disliking [celebrity].
