I completely ruined brownies the last two times I made them. Fortunately I wasn't making them for work. I hope you can figure out what happened, even though I couldn't.

Oh carp...looks like the oven may have been too hot or they were left in too long. Can you make another batch and maybe lower the oven temp and keep a close eye on them?

Not tonight but maybe this weekend. It is weird, it was the usual temperature and like half the time. I think something went wrong with the caramel.

Is the pan size correct?
I don't usually make brownies, but from what I remember, over/under filling a pan tends to effect brownies more than other baked goods...?
There are also altitude differentials when setting a heat temperature for your oven- if you're using a new recipe, it may even be more of a cake based brownie, meaning it tends to be dryer, and can burn more easily...

Otherwise, I don't think the ingredients set up properly. Or the ingredients you used weren't suited to be used in baking, (e.g. certain variety of foodstuff includes a variety of starches/ect, that can effect the end result;;)

Uhh. Basically, I really need to not give out advice when I'm not exactly sure what I'm talking about;; But I hope your event turns out well;;!

Yep, it was the correct pan. I've made this tons of times. I think it was using almond milk instead of regular milk. So I will never do that again!

But thank you for helping. The event was good. Although the brownies were HIDEOUS, they tasted fine. I melted chocolate on top to hide my sins.
