I keep forgetting that both of these characters are played by Amy Acker. Why? Their styling isn't even that different. 
This led me to the conclusion that she is just a fantastic actress. I wouldn't even call myself a fan. It's just something I noticed. If I told anyone that Amy Acker is the best actress on (network) TV, people would probably think I'm nuts. 
I didn't even check out The Gifted for her, she just happened to be on this show I wanted to watch.

Omg same, anon! I got to meet Lewis once when he was on a book tour, and he's the nicest guy in person. Signed my book for me, answered my questions, and was just wonderful. <3

The new host segments are 100% the least good part of the new show. They're not superlatively bad, they're just awkward. If I have a problem with the show, it's that the whole show feels LA now, and that's most obvious in the host segments. LA comedy scene in 2018 instead of the weird, mutant, cold-battered Minneapolis comedy scene of the 90s. And there's nothing else they really could have done, I don't blame them for it and the show is still good. It just bums me out.

fucking THANK YOU. I HATE rumbelle and the fact that his whole character became 'be good or else belle will find out!!!1' and that's all they gave him. what about his relationships with the other characters? baelfire? henry? anyone? but no, nothing but belle.

I kind of agree, but I appreciated the added nuance for her so much that I overlook the earlier stuff. I didn't care for her relationship with Rossi, and it would be nice if they made some connection to her earlier behavior (before she had the team's back), but I was happy with it overall. I actually missed the actress once she was gone.
