those 2018 flops aren’t even original Disney property or part of their animated canon. Disney itself hasn’t had an animate flop since treasure island which was well over a decade ago and whatever they lose on those movies is minuscule to the bank they make back on shitting out their next princess movie.

Boy, the goal posts just keep moving.

Anything to defend Disney. Its not like they don’t make a shitload of money every year and get bigger and bigger as time goes by. If you think lion king won’t make money and Disney isn’t aware of that you need to get your head checked.

And why will The Lion King make money?? Could it be...nostalgia??

Yet you’re the one who chimes in with the “NUH UH 8% OF THEIR MOVIES HAVE FLOPPED” when no one is denying that this movie will make a shitton of cash and Disney KNOWS it will. So what is your point being a pedantic tantrum about when everyone is in agreeance Disney shits money and knows the Lion King remake will turn over nothing but a profit by cashing in on childhood nostalgia.

No... you're just being incredibly pedantic with your "you can't say all their movies make bank when really only 92% of them do" bullshit. At the end of the day, Disney's last big budget remake of a Disney Renaissance film made about the same amount of money as Finding Dory and considerably less than Incredibles 2. You might reasonably expect the Lion King remake to make closer to Incredibles 2 money, but less than say, Toy Story 4 would.
