Turns out that I've got large fibroids and now I'm waiting for an operation (waiting for several months, it looks like).

Hey I've got large fibroids too. They don't bother me too much though. Good luck.

Mine don't luckily bother me at all either (yet), but since there are more than one and the largest one is already 9 cm, the doctor thought that it would be a good idea to handle them before they start causing problems.

Got a new job and moved to a city hours away from everyone I know. Became a homeowner. Might or might not have sold my car. Realised that my body has started descend into no longer being young.

On the health theme, I found out I have a hiatal hernia. Fortunately the doctor said if using over-the-counter stuff has been taking care of it I can probably just keep doing that.

I found out I could change my own bike tire, which I had to when the bike shop down the street closed permanently. I know it's the opposite of a big deal, but I'm actually proud of myself. I still haven't had to change the back one though.

I got back into video games after not playing much for a while but considering the money I've spent on it I'm not sure it was such a great idea.

Finally got a doctor to listen to me, finally got the surgery I needed. Now I just need to wait for better insurance, then I can have the other ovary out and be completely done with this.

Started working more hours.

Worked out consistently all year. As a result, I got stronger (though progress was slower than I'd hoped), got hungrier, and am able to survive better on very little sleep than I used to be.

Had my second daughter; two and done. Spent most of the year looking and feeling like an extra on the walking dead. It's all worth it when I look at my little sunbeam, though. 2019 will hopefully be the year of getting some of my body / career / identity back. There are a lot of shitty things happening in the world right now, but at the moment my little corner of it is bright.

I learned , since my mom's diagnosis that life can be really freaking unfair and it doesn't care for your thoughts of what should have been.

I apologize for sounding like a grump but 2018 was rough for me.

Got my bachelor's degree! Learned a lot about myself and my strengths (my final semester was awful; the work was so hard, my work was changing locations and I was helping with that, my home life was going down the drain, and then I was dumped...but I made it! With Great grades!). Also flew to Seattle, which was the first time I visited the west coast.

So yeah, 2018 was a ride!
