I wasn't sure if I'd like it since it wasn't actiony sc-fi, but my dad suggested I give it a go(because he wanted someone to talk to about it :P) and I ended up loving it. I love the characters, the story is interesting to me and I just generally think it's a lot of fun.

And Killing Eve.

A fandom friend recommended it to me a few months back and I'd been getting through my backlog of TV before starting it, I'm 4 episodes in and I love it. Villanelle is great, Eve is fucking wonderfully messy and I'm enjoying the premise of it a lot, and I don't tend to enjoy more 'ordinary' shows, but this is a type of thriller that absolutely works for me.

Special Topics in Calamity Physics by Marisha Pessl. My friend didn't even like it that much, but she said she thought I'd like it. It's a long book, so it took me a couple of years to get around to reading it, but I ended up loving it. Sadly, by the time I read it, she and I were no longer friends. :/

My Villain/Hero ships have to have some kind of relationship beforehand otherwise I'm not interested, I don't read aggression as belligerent sexual tension so I cannot see a villan+hero who never knew one another and therefore never had good feelings for one another be anything other than enemies.
