I think character X reader fics are the worst thing ever.

They're invariably horribly written, which is almost as bad as the overall cringe factor.

Agreed. I knew by the age of 16 that no one else wanted to read my self-insert fantasies with [insert hot male character here] so I don't understand how so many GROWN ADULTS have missed this memo.
