Someone hasn't experienced the Pokemon Christmas Bash.

So wrong. I've never heard Christmas Shoes or the donkey song, so I'll take your word on that one, but Last Christmas is far from unbearable and All I Want For Christmas Is You is actively good.

And you didn't even include The Little Drummer Boy on your list.

I rather like All I Want for Christmas is You (although I sing "Hugh") but Little Drummer Boy is pretty damn irritating. The line "the ox and lamb kept time" always makes me snicker. I keep picturing an ox playing bass.

It gets even dumber when you know that the drummer's supposed to be the one keeping time, so it's not even a song about a good drummer.

Definitely Christmas Shoes. What a shit song. (Also, my mom died around Christmas, so that's just what I want, one more crass reminder of her death. Even without context, though, that song is terrible.)

It is a terrible song though, just feels so grossly manufactured, clearly written by some old Christian dude who has never interacted with an actual child and probably not a mother before, either. So hammy.

Last Christmas does suck but Jingle Bell Rocks sucks more. Or maybe it's just that I don't hear Last Christmas that much but I hear Jingle Bell Rock everywhere.

I keep a mental tally of how often I hear Last Christmas (it became a game, who could go the longest without hearing it) and it's definitely played all the time wherever you go. Anytime you go into a supermarket or whatever there's a 60% chance you will hear Last Christmas.

I agree Jingle Bell Rock is overplayed but I honestly don't think I've heard it this year? Probably famous last words..

The Christmas song. Which, in spite of its title, has nothing to do with Christmas. And is also hopelessly boring and dull as a song even apart from the dumb words.

Baby it's Cold Outside and that Yummy World one, BLECH! I haven't heard of this Christmas Shoe song or the donkey one but I believe you on those. I begrudgingly must admit I don't mind All I Want For Christmas Is You, the Mariah Carey version.

Isn't Baby it's Cold Outside technically a winter song, not a Christmas song?

Like Jingle Bells and Let It Snow (Let It Snow is the only good winter love song I've heard.)

I'm also really sick of We Need A Little Christmas and Have a Holly Jolly Christmas. I've heard the latter about a million times this year.

My vote goes to that damn "Sleigh bells jingling" song. Admittedly, it's not a completely terrible song, but not only is it a total earworm, I learned to hate it thanks to one particular experience. I volunteered at a thrift store during my senior year of high school, and during the Christmas season, instead of being tuned to our normal radio station (which played rock/pop music in addition to Christmas songs), it was tuned to a station that apparently decided it wanted to be all-inclusive, which meant no religious songs and no songs about Santa. Which meant that we got the same three or four songs (Jingle Bells, the sleigh song, Winter Wonderland, and maybe occasionally Let it Snow) over and over again, with just different singers to break up the monotony. My brain decided it was the sleigh song that it couldn't stand hearing constantly, and even to this day, I twitch when I hear it.

Don't tell anyone, but I kind of hate "Do They Know it's Christmas?" It raised a shit-ton of money for famine relief, so I can't hate it publicly.

I really hate Frosty the Snowman. And Rudolph.

Well, first of all there are the really dorky "joke" Christmas songs, like "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer," which I find really obnoxious, pretty much to-a-one.

After that, I think I'd have to agree about Christmas Shoes. It takes something so genuinely awful and turns it into this picturesque, Hallmark-feeling thing. It plays on your emotions, but in a really tasteless way, I think.

I really dislike any version of "Santa Baby" that plays the singer as serious. I actually like the song, but for me it only works if the singer comes across like she's roleplaying and things are about to get very naughty.

As for "Baby It's Cold Outside"...meh? It's creepy AF but also catchy AF. It's also very much a product of it's time. IDK, man, IDK. The fact that so many people refuse to acknowledge the issues with it bothers me a lot more than the song itself does.
