Once I slipped on ice but caught myself before I fell, but I did something that made the side of my neck hurt really badly where it met my shoulder. I was on the way to work and had to endure a whole shift having to turn my whole body to look in another direction. I was in tears from pain by the time I got home.

I applied heat and it was mostly fine by the next morning.

Only worry if it persists for an extended time.
