looks like its time for you to learn some Asian languages then. There are plenty of historical fantasy books by Asian authors. Written in their own language. Otherwise you just sound like you want more Asian authors but only if they write according to your comfort zones.

also I'll point out to you that POC are also capable of fetishizing other cultures and would point to the k-pop obsessed Mexican girl I live next to as an example. So you need to expand your criteria to 'non-Asian' unless you think that white people are the only one that never make mistakes with another race's representation.

you have pretty high standards if you call "want to read in a language i understand" some unreasonable expectation.

translations exist? pls tell me if im blowing your mind here but i have plenty of books from japanese authors in my own native language on my bookshelf. this allows them to write in their language while still giving me the opportunity to read their works :o

Are you seriously classifying only being fluent in English as a "comfort zone"? I don't think you understand what that term actually means.

OP said nothing to indicate they felt that this was an isolated problem that only applies to white authors. Yet here you are, acting like they did. Defensive much?
