Nobody has a neutral accent! If Americans happily podfic HP and Sherlock, and Brits do Stargate (examples just what I’ve personally heard) then why not?

Same. I think you can hear which country I come from and I'm afraid it would pull people right out of the stories.

Hmm. I really don't think you should let a simple accent stop you from doing what you want to do... Technically no accent can be true neutral, but if you feel you might be considered unintelligible, I'd say try a podcast or two, speaking as you do, just to test things out.

See what kind of feedback you might get. You might not even have to change a thing! Generally though, it's just about slang, and speed. Don't talk too fast and/or slow, and try not to fill your commentary with local allusions that most people just wont get... Other than that, just enunciate!
