this old bat who cut in line in front of me at the post office today, then later was in line in front of me at the grocery store and felt compelled to tell the checkout lady her entire life story. eyeroll

Heh. I feel for that checkout lady. I used to get customers like that when I worked at a bookstore here in town. It was especially bad if they called to place an order over the phone and decided that was the perfect time to start rambling on about their lives/health woes/reasons why they don't come into town very often (many of our customers came from the rural towns nearby, 'cause our city was the big shopping center for this area).
