TBH on one hand I agree but on the other, it would open the door for poor women being forced into turning themselves into breeding machines, not out of their own free will but out of desperation and need for money and that's a creepy thought.

That's definitely a serious issue and I think there should be laws and regulation, even covering instances when surrogates are doing it for free, and people should draw up legal contracts with their surrogates detailing everyone's roles and responsibilities and indicating what would happen in various contingencies (if not already defined by law).

The fundamental idea of surrogates getting paid just doesn't seem like a moral problem to me, though.
