His performance on Silicon Valley makes me feel certain he would make the perfect Mr. Darcy in another adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.

Also, I have no horse in this race, but I think he would've been a better Lex Luthor than Jesse Eisenberg.

He has a perfect name for the genre

He's Canadian, though.

Does that really matter?

Henry Cavill played Superman and Tom Holland is playing Spider-Man.

Meryl Streep played Margaret Thatcher and Gwyneth Paltrow played Emma.

Hugh Jackman played Wolverine.

What's Hugh Jackman got to do with it? Australians and Canadians are basically the same thing anyway except one of them is fire and one of them is ice. That's historical fact right there.

Umm. Okay? Are you aware of exactly how many adaptations, canon and modern both, there ARE of Pride and Prejudice? His being Canadian doesn't make a damn difference, as far as I'm concerned.

He's fantastic at playing a character who is both painfully awkward & shy AND a stuck up dick, which is why he would make a perfect Darcy.

I suppose if you did a specifically Canadian adaptation...

As long as he can do a passable Brit accent, IDGAF.

Mr. Doobs-cy

I've never seen him in anything, but I like his name.

He looks like a young Hugh Grant.
