Maybe he wanted to put a little more Christ in his Christmas? People legitimately put crosses on their houses as part of the their Christmas decorating because that's part of their celebration.

Wasn't the secret poster talking about this specific thing? Because I was just talking about this specific thing.

But, since you asked, an Easter cross does not strike me as secular decoration in any way and does seem pretty appropriate to that actual holiday. I mean, it's not really my thing (either Christianity or crosses), but if it was, the birth and resurrection of Christ would probably be the holidays I would choose to utilize a cross for.

Also, it's not an "Easter cross." It's a cross. Christians use them all the year round and they aren't associated with a particular season, what with it being pretty much the universally acknowledged symbol of Christianity.
