same. he was the one I was least excited for and thought I'd hate, but he's my favourite out of the three companions (the fact he can act much better than the other two is probably a big factor in that though tbh).

All of this. He seems to be the most developed, relatable, and gets some of the best lines of the companions. Ryan got more development in the New Year episode than the rest of the season.
