The movie version of West Side Story got rid of the biggest mistake in the play, which was putting a goofy, funny song ("Gee, Officer Krupke!") immediately after Riff and Bernardo got killed. I don't know what they were thinking.

Yes! The song fits much better where it is in the movie.

I also like that they moved "I Feel Pretty" earlier into the movie. It makes Maria finding out about the rumble even heavier, emotionally.
