I have no problem with people identifying as such, and I will try to respect their identity. I don't entirely understand being nonbinary myself, but I don't think all these people are just making it up. I believe it's a thing.

The only thing I have an issue with is people asking to be referred to as "it." No, I will not. If I have to refer to you as "it" in order for you to feel I am respecting your identity, I'm just going to have to not refer to you at all, because I will never be comfortable calling a person "it." That said, I've only come across this problem a couple of times, and both times were online. Never in RL. So it would be disingenuous to act like it's some big problem.
