No. He was bumbling Pan with one foot in the grave, making a travesty out of both the character and the story. The point was simply lost. Which was a shame, as Hoffman was pure genius.

See this is what I'm talking about. The quality of trolling around these parts has plummeted. This one at least is slightly less lazy but it's wasted. People who Loved Williams will happily admit that hook was not his greatest work. There's no value in this troll. It's a waste of effort.

If I wanted to piss people off about this, and I don't because I'm one of the mentally normal people who love Robin Williams I'd go with something like:

"The two best things Robin Williams ever did was Flubber and Learning to tie a sturdy knot."

Mean, slightly funny, harsh as hell, and almost guaranteed to get some reaction if only from the people who really loved Flubber. Just being a cunt isn't enough.
