asking people not to use slurs. i don't think it ever ends well, but i always try to remind myself how someone who the slur hurts would feel if no one said anything.

i'm a very anxious and sensitive person, but i always act like how i would want others to treat me, so i end up standing up/being up front about a lot of stuff so people get pissy with me a lot...

Not replying right away to people.
Not making plans when we both agree we should catch up soon.
Not getting rid of things that I have no use for just in case I find a use for them in the future.

Trying to logic people out of any belief or stance they have that isn't founded on logic

The problem is you usually can't tell it's based on feels without engaging first because people don't like to admit "I just feel something is correct and choose to believe it in spite of all the evidence otherwise"

If they were upfront about that, it would be easier

Truth begins in error.

Re: What is something you regret doing,

(Anonymous) 2019-01-16 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
But not all errors lead to truth.

Errors only lead to truth if the person uses logic to determine that something is an error, error = not truth, therefore the truth must be something else. If that's not there, then all you have is plain unfounded faith in whatever and that stays exactly where it is because feels

Ugh, I hear you. Unfortunately, nobody likes to think they're being anything other than rational, even when they're not. Getting confronted with their lack of knowledge or logic makes them mad at you, because it's easier than admitting they're being ridiculous. They can't even be upfront with themselves, never mind other people.

Not taking care of myself until now. I have a fear of doctors, but after a serious work injury I decided that I need to really take care of myself.

Also, smoking pot (started about a year ago). I plan to go back to edibles only.
