Technically yes but IMO, it was never as funny as the popular British panel shows are. For some reason, everyone talks as though they think the audience is slightly deaf so there's this shouty, loud-talking vibe where people are trying to get their jokes in and it feels more desperate than funny.

I feel like that's going to be a high risk in any American attempt at a panel show to be honest

What is, the talking loudly? I don't see why. I don't buy into cultural stereotypes about Americans being louder as a people. This is TV, people are quite used to the concept of needing to take turns in order to speak, and if they're not familiar with that, that's what producers and directors are for.

I think it might be true of American stand up comedy even if it's not true of Americans generally
