The Princess Prom episode made them hot as hell. If I didn't ship them before, it definitely sold it to me.

I can see why, if the image is taken with no point of reference. The reason the girl on the left doesn't look thrilled is she's convinced the one on the right is up to something (which she is, just not in the way the blonde one thinks), but the one on the right is leading her on a merry chase, as it were. And the upshot is that girl on the left is so obsessed with what the one on the right is doing, Bad Things Happen.

I was kinda shipping it before this episode, but this nailed it for me. New ship ahoy!

Their relationship is one of the driving forces of the show and it's an angsty 'once friends now enemies' thing so I totally get it pinging fandom's buttons if you're into that.

It works for me because it's exactly the kind of hero/villain ship dynamic I like where it is messy and complicated, but I've also got a few other ships on this show because it's pretty good for ship-fodder in general tbh. Lots of fun relationships to mull over.

It's the first F/F ship that I actively ship and in in a "Sure why not" sort of way. They wrote a true friends to enemies story that's so complicated in all the best ways and I love it :3

One of the feels I have for this show is how the relationship was completely ruined by the actions of an abusive mother-figure, and how Shadoweaver set Adora up to be the white knight and Catara to get power by undermining others.

This one just hits too close to pseudo-incest for me, I feel like Shadow-Weaver was almost textbook "abusive narc mom".

I mean this as gently as possible, are you new to fandom? Fandom has made ships which don't even talk to each other blow up. If they so much as look at each other they're "canon."
