She's also used to controlling family members, tho. This is, in all actuality, the situation she knows just scaled up times eleven, and Steven needs her to be the pillar right now.

Like, adding onto this, that entire thing was literally the Gem royalty equivalent of, "You're grounded and you're going to sit in your room and think about what you've done" that Connie's probably gone through a lot because her mother can be controlling to an insane degree.

Do we know that it was? Being thrown in jail might be the equivalent of getting sent to your room, but they don't know what the Gems were planning to do with them after that. They could be planning to keep them there forever, torture them, or kill them. Or kill Connie, at least, since she's not a Diamond in a human body and has no value to them.

I mean yeah? That's the impression I got, given everything around it. The impression seemed to be that Pink had been sent there before, because it meant she'd have to reflect on things and not just dally in her room.
